Nor Hayati Saad is currently the Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Strategy), Universiti Teknologi MARA. She was previously the Director of the University Transformation Division (Feb. – Sep 2021), and the Deputy Dean (Academic), Faculty of Mechanical Engineering UiTM (2016- Jan. 2021). She received her Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing from the University of Birmingham, UK (2010) and an MSc in Operation Management and Manufacturing Systems (2000) from the University of Nottingham, UK. She is a certified NLP coach, NLP Practitioner, certified LAB (Language and Behavior) Profile practitioner, and certified TTT (Train The Trainer). She is also the head of Master Trainer under the Worldwide CDIO initiative (Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate); where UiTM was accepted as an international collaborator in May 2015. Her research involves MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical System), advanced manufacturing processes, man-machine interfaces, and operation management. She has more than 150 publications, including journal and international conference papers, and more than 15 years of experience in Engineering Education, Management, and Quality Management Systems in Tertiary Education. She is actively involved at the national level as a program assessor under the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), appointed as the external examiner for the engineering programmes and trainer for OBE (Outcome- based Education) by a few public and private institutions of higher learning (IHL) in Malaysia.
