This year, Prof. Datuk Ts. Dr. Roziah Mohd Janor is spearheading a RM3 million programme to deploy selected Heads of Department overseas to strengthen UiTM's global international presence and establish UiTM as a global player in academia, research, publication, mobility, and collaboration with reputable global institutions and organisations by 2025.

The Vice-Chancellor has overseen global prominence initiatives that have resulted in several international plaudits for the University. Among these accolades are a Gold Award from QS Rankings for the QS-Apple 2020 Creative Competition, a ranking of #105 in Asia University Rankings, and a ranking of 100-200 in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings. Based on the key findings by QS World Rankings by Subject 2022, UiTM is named 42 in the world for Hospitality and Leisure Management. Meanwhile, 14 subjects were successfully ranked with a 29% improvement.
